Who We Are
We are a translation services company specialized in online technical translations in different areas, such as: engineering in general (with a special focus on automated/robotized complex machinery technical manuals), nuclear engineering, environmental engineering, IT (information technology), legal & documental, corporate financing, banking, accounting, capital markets, taxation & customs corporate laws, international laws, trademarks, intellectual property, copyrights, international trade, marketing and advertising, communications, public relations (PR), e-commerce, gaming, localization, medical & pharmaceutical (pre-clinical and clinical trials, research, FDA regulatory processes & applications, patents etc.) etc.
Our team, besides being experienced technical translators, are also expert professionals in the target business sector, which is the subject matter to be translated, having both the technical and the linguistic formal education and practice. They are SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and linguists. For example, experienced translators/technical writers who are also multidisciplinary practiced engineers specialize in translations pertaining the engineering field, and so forth.
Our focus is on artisanal translations made manually and carefully, with deep context understanding and vast technical knowledge about the subject that is being translated. We do not believe in translation software (CAT tools) and machine translation (MT). Machines and software are not SMEs and cannot understand technical nuances and context. Although we do not believe in using translation software, we are still very efficient and fast in performing our technical translations. Besides, we always deliver the translations before the due date and positively surprise our clients, because we firmly believe in having a long-lasting business collaboration with all our clients.
All our translations go through an initial revision/reediting and a final revision/editing made by different translators, so that whoever does the translation does not revise his/her own work (independent revisions/reediting/proofreadings are performed at least twice, before delivering to the client). This is part of our Quality Control (QC) Procedures. Sometimes, depending on the complexity of the text and formatting, more independent revisions/reediting will need to be done, prior to completion and delivery. These processes ensure an exceptional work quality superior to other translation companies that depend on a translation software, where quite often, the translated material never goes through a manual revision done by a real translator or manual revisions/editing. Note that a translation software/machine cannot interpret contextual technical subtleties and does not have the work experience in the target business field, which directly affects the quality and reliability of such translations made by these computer programs.
All our translations include additional formatting identical to the original document presented by the client. If you or your company, due to budgetary constraints, do not wish to pay for the additional formatting, please just inform us about this detail on your estimate/commercial proposal request on page ESTIMATES.
We would like to point out that there are people/companies that claim to be translators, but they simply place all the text on Google Translator or similar translation software and send their nonsensical “translations” to the unaware client. They pollute the translation market worldwide by charging derisory miniscule prices, way cheaper than what a serious translation company committed to high work quality and excellence, such as Ivy League Translations, with QC procedures and processes in place that guarantee exceptional quality, that cost time and money, can possibly charge. Some of our international clients have already been through disastrous experiences with these wannabe translators who rely only on Google Translator or alike to create their unreadable incomprehensible product. These clients have ended up later hiring us to redo the entire translation all over again, wasting precious time, money, and resources. It is harder to correct a nonsensical “translation” made by an unqualified person or company than to do it from scratch.
